Q: When can I access my benefits?
A: Benefits are only payable once you are retired or terminated from the UFA.
Q: When are benefits paid?
A: Benefit checks are paid once a month on the 10th, or the closest business day to the 10th should it fall on a weekend.
Q: Can I have my money direct deposited?
A: Currently there is no direct deposit option. A check will be mailed to the address on the request form.
Q: What happens to my account upon my death?
A: The money can be used for eligible medical expenses by a living spouse or other tax dependent.
Q: What types of medical expenses are eligible for reimbursement from the VEBA trust?
A: Eligible medical expenses include but are not limited to health insurance premiums, out of pocket medical, dental and vision expenses (except cosmetic procedures), pharmacy co-pays, etc.
